I revisited my 2019 trip to India and picked out this image of a Golden jackal. Slight crop and I eliminated a couple silvery/bright leaves at the top.

A super clean capture of the Jackal , Jon , ... I do like the layering of the habitat and the subject nicely placed in it .
Eye contact is great and the fur is rendered nicely .
Overall tones are solid ... and ok in principal , if one like one get more more depth by changing the tones in some areas .
The colors in the subject , well not my taste , as I do think at least the brighter fur parts are not that red or warm tone . For me the animal does look too reddish overall . But you have been there .

Love the intent in that stare Jonathan, well captured, overall colours look fine to me.
