Hi Jon ... a super shot of the WP
I do like the overall design and its simplicity , pose is great
Overall tones are good and the detail is superb , as is the sharpness .... a touch more DOF would have not hurt the image as the back of the head is fading in sharpness IMHO.
Personal taste .... on the color front ... a touch " too yellow or warm " for my taste under the given light , but this is very minor thing .

Very nice image !!!!

TFS Andreas

RP contains a bit of color and tonal " corrections " .... how I would have edited it .

Jon, better than the last one overall in terms of tones.

Really a fantastic capture. I like the subject leaning out into the light!

Andreas's color adjustment and deepening up the blacks looks really nice IMO.

TFS!

Thanks for the comments Andreas & Brian, glad you liked it, maybe things are getting back to normal.
The feathers looked slightly yellow -- because they are at this time of the year.

Hi Jon, love the angle of the bird, perch needs a bit more interest, I would suggest a different type of tree for more character. The green backdrop sucks, it just looks like a roll of Colourama or where a backdrop is awaiting to be dropped in. You need some tonal range in there to break up the slab of green and again add interest. Unsure about the crop, maybe a slight CW rotation so there is less of a lump at the top and not such a wafter thin at the foot?

Overall I like it a lot, and prefer the second one by a slight edge. Good pose, sharpness, and I am ok with the BG. I'd probably have zoomed out a bit more for more room all around - not much more needed, but the tail seems close to the edge of the frame for me.
