This was a grab shot but quite pleased I managed to get it, I was focussed on a small egret who was fishing and then I spottted this Great white egret in the corner of my eye, the larger displaced the smaller one and sucessfully caught a few tiddlers.

Jon - beautifully captured with wing grazing the water. Perhaps a bit more contrast and clarity to bring out some depth?

Thanks gerals glad you liked it, I did enhance the plumage a little but had to be carefull because it soon appered to be "crunchy".

Hi Jon ... the wing touching the water is priceless good .
Subject looks very good in terms of whites and details .
Not too fuzzed about the comp ... apart from the 4x3 ( really struggling with this ratio ) , think the subject does sit too low in the frame.
Have you thought about darkening the water ... to make the Egret REALLY pop ??

I've always found white birds to be challenging. I hope you don't mind, but I took a stab at a RP. All I did here was darken the background and added just a little local and global contrast to the bird.
