Thank you for the acceptance. Really appreciating the level of detail and feedback on the images I see posted. So many other sites I've joined are just congratulatory comments, nice, but doesn't help one advance.
Never sure what is the first image one should post on an intro. Below is a female red wing from my local park taken this summer.
The park is my go to spot for photography. I don't always have a lot of time and the park is close as well as full of birds years round. If I want to try something different it also has a lovely butterfly garden with many flowers in bloom.
I started photographing with a Sony mirrorless but never much wildlife or anything beyond the kit lens. I switched to an entry Nikon DSLR on advice from a friend but was never truly happy with it when I tried to photograph wildlife. Finally switched to a Nikon Z6ii with a few longer lenses and really happy to be back in mirrorless land
Image composition is where I struggle most. If my wife wants to take a barb at me, she might say I have no taste
