Hello from South Africa

[Francois Retief]

Hello, I am Francois from Johannesburg in South Africa. I bought my first DSLR about 6 years ago and I am a keen and active photographer. My speciality in photography are birds (first) and wildlife (second) and I started with Macro about one year ago. I also do some sports, landscape and a little bit of studio photography. My primary camera is a Canon 5DMk3 with a Canon 7D (as the backup). My favorite lens for birds is a 500mm f4 and I mostly use the 70-200mm f2.8 for wildlife. I have been active on the Outdoorphoto website for almost 3 years and recently started posting on 500px.com (see links below). I am looking forward to being an active participant on BPN !
