I captured this image at a bush in my backyard in June 2021. Although the bush was hit hard by a freeze last winter it is recovering, and I am looking forward to hummingbirds return this year. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Post processed in Lightroom Classic
Crop was large due to the size of the bird

Hoi Joe .. oh i am gonna love Hummingbirds and I would like to photograph them one day .

Love flight pose of the little bugger , pleasing BG and nice color tone combo ... sharp where it counts . Not much more to ask for .

Getting hummers in flight is really tough, so I think you did as well as you could have given the lack of direct illumination. Body is nice and sharp, but I wish the wings were either fully forward or fully back. I would recommend using a 4x5 instead of a 2x3 crop as there is too much empty space above and below the bird.

Nice flight image Joe. I too wish the wings were back or forward, but not sure if you have those frames or not? Good complimentary BG color Nicely done!

A bit more crop from below, even if that means losing a portion of the greens below, would be great IMO. Otherwise, solid image. I kinda like the wing position, implying hovering in place.
