Hi folks ... well a lot of things have changed here since the upgrade or overhaul of the site .
As a long time user I need to get used to it , but it does work quite well overall .... I think .

Image taken back in 2023 ...
Late evening

Canon EOS R3
RF 400 2,8 IS L + 2x TC
Tripod

F 5,6 ; Iso 32 k ; 1/200 sec

Processed with DXO Lab 8 for NR , DT 4.8.1 and PSCC 2024 ; slight crop

Thanks for watching and commenting to my last postings

Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, this is a cool duo. I really like the image design with the diagonal weathered perch. You (and the new gear) make 32K ISO look like a walk in the park. Very well processed.

I am a little unsure about this one Andreas, technically it looks very good, exposure details etc especially at the high ISO (which I appreciate is relative but for me it is HIGH!) Colours look ideal. It's the OOF one that I am a little unsure about, I am finding it difficult to decide if it adds or detracts, I think if I am in doubt then it probably detracts. I look at the sharp owl then I am pulled to the soft one, I suppose I am saying the soft one is too big to ignore...... but that may of course been your intention.

THX Jon ... for me it is high iso level as well , if not too high generally speaking . But it just helps to create at least acceptable shots ... in very low light conditions as with these two Owlets .
Understand your reservation .... regarding the two birds , but I was more than happy to get two of them in the frame at that time . No settings would have brought them both in the focal plane . So I have to live with the existing images

Cheers Andreas

Wow! 32,000. I will need to readjust my "acceptable" ISO upper limit as you have captured a nice image with that. I agree with Jon in that the OOF owl does not add to the shot, but sometimes it is what it is.

THX James ... would agree about yours and Jon's reservations .
Fort me still worth to keep the image , might be down to the long time I had with them together .... a more emotional thing , LOL .

Cheers Andreas
