Long-tailed tit a different set up , image captured from my garden hide. A twig from the background has been removed and the image cropped for presentation.

Does look quite nice Jon ... super pose thanks to Precapture , I guess .
Nice to see you cropping the 3x2 format ;)
Perch is neat ... and super details in the LTT .
Colors looking good ... I would just go darker with the sky , personal pref .
Just keep an eye on the crappy LR/ACR masking ... ;) ... missed the sky between upper wing feathers

LOvely shot and TFS Andreas

Thanks Andreas, darn it I see what you refer to - careless of me!
Glad you liked it, I have to confess I did not darken the sky too much - because I was concerned about masking errors!

Hi Jon, I like the fact you are4 showcasing this bird as it is so sweet and not often shown. As a capture, mmmmm, not sure, albeit the wing separation is nice, but its the perch for me. It's too big in relation to the subject, some nice Catkins would be ideal and would tie is with the colour palette. Not sure why you need to mask, but?

Great bird; truely the word "sweet" fits very well. I have problems with masking, even in PS, when I have areas that are either slightly OOF (like wing edges) or in between feathers that are transparent, like this one. Often I end up taking way more time than what the image is worth to tidy up the mask.

Thanks James, I think the answer is Photoshop and use refine mask
