Just having so much fun with these images and the current upgrades, where I can extract so much more both in Lr and Ps from previous times. Shot from a zodiac.

Hope you don't mind the reference Gerald? :w3

I think it is remarkable how the bear stands out from the surroundings, the fur detail is excellent. I like the slightly raised left front paw. I sense you have added Grain/Texture to the OOF snow in the background, I don't dislike it, I think it looks natural.

Hi Jon, thank you, but everything stems from the original capture and ETTR, if you saw the raw it’s as flat as a pancake.

The raised paw is key, the same with big cats, you want the shot with it raised, even front on.

No grain added or anything else added so I’m not sure what you are seeing, but it’s great to be able to bring a lot more nuances out so you get to see the disappearing habitat this animals live in.

Hi Steve,

No problem with the reference - I'm honoured!

Much to like about this image. The posture of the bear is very nice with the raised front paw - slow walking and sniffing the air. Shows the hump on the shoulders and that classic bear shape.

Fine detail on the fur and I love the little wisps of hair on the feet and belly. Background looks nicely soft to contrast against the bear.

Thanks for sharing!

Gerald
