An image from a hide in central Spain earlier this year. This Marsh Harrier was competing for the bait with other Harriers and most especially a very hungry Grey Heron. It had just taken off and did a banking turn when I caught it in pleasing late afternoon light.

Image taken with Sony A9II, EF 200-600 at 200mm. Shutter speed 1/2500 sec at f/6.3, ISO 1600.
PP in Lightroom with a light touch of NR in Enhance.

Comments and suggestions warmly welcomed.

Gerald what would I give to get a shot like that? Whenever i see them in the ose circumstances they are too far away and the light is dull or even foggy! Looks good though I may have been tempted to lower the brightest highlights .

What a shot Gerald ... congrats to capture this image .
Love the fanned tail feathers and the overall posing , what can one ask for more ??!!
Subject looks good on all counts , for me.
You said you prefer very often a pano comp ... well matter of taste , I would rather prefer a classical 3x2. But no deal breaker .
Color wise , I would try to get a bit more separation between the reeds and the sky ... as the sky does look kinda dirty yellow blue .
Again this is just me thinking out loud .
