Hi Steve,

Nice little Nuthatch! I like the striking pose and alert attitude of the bird. Lots of fine detail despite the high ISO, particularly the little feathers around the eye. I like the way the colour of the background works so well with that of the bird.

Thanks for sharing, Gerald

Thanks Gerald, the AF just seems to nail it, and capture the fine detail as you kindly pointed out, irrespective of ISO range. Hope all is well with you.

Cheers
Steve

That's just perfect, Steve

Cheers Dave, more luck than anything as the weather has been appalling 'across the pond', especially this weekend after a massive storm. I think Jon A will be photographing from a canoe due to the rain we received. I guess I just picked the right day because of the cool 'fall colours'.

Personally the previous image I feel ticks the boxes, but...

All the best
Steve

Spot on Steve, colours and details look super.
Many thanks Jon, apologies in the late reply, but I didn't get either yours or Dave's reply.

Yes a very cool day for sure with the sun and Autumnal colours, plus subjects and kit. 👌

Trust all is good with you, had a few tress down close by and a bit of flooding be we are on higher ground to avoid the worst. Just back, so time to ease slowly into the Xmas festivities.
