Hello Steve,

This is super cute, I am loving it!

And I like lots about it. First of all, the image design, everything just works! Then the perch...the background...and of course, pose from the bird is superb, perfect HA. Beautifully exposed and processed with great detail and colours - thank you so much for sharing, stunning work 👏👏👏

Warmest regards,
Gabriela

Hi Gabriela, many thanks for the reply.

Yes, just had a day out to see what was happening in the Autumn light, which, after a very foggy start gave a few hours of strong Autumnal colours. I liked being head being slightly 'cocked' to camera and to get the open bill too. The bark of the tree provided some cool texture, juxtapose (another great word) to the rich backdrop on the RHS. I also just created some additional dodgiing & burning to the scene.

Just loving what these cameras are delivering.... but need another kit bag now!!!!!

Autumn light so beautiful. HA from the subject is superb and pose a little playful, love it. Whatever you did works so well, you should be so pleased with this image ☺️

Very good color and detail. Great pose which is hard to come by with nuthatches. I'm curious why F8?

Hi Ray, I was close, but also wanted the subject sharp, especially as the head was slightly turned to camera, also it's more my default, however...

I have been caught out on occasion and f/11 would have been more appropriate, but having a good distance between subject and BKG was key..
