We were sitting on the beach when the Palmnut vulture flew by and noticed a small dead fish floating in the water. I made a first pass and then came by again at about eye level, image slightly cropped.

Hi Riaan, I quite like it, but for me the bird has past you by, to far forward. I agree with Krish, that as this is cropped, then a fraction more space all round would be good, it's just a wee bit tight all round. Looking at both the whites and the sea, getting a better WB really pops it nicely, so going a little cooler on the Temp might be worth a check. In addition you can now posted 1920 wide, makes a difference.

Attached is a possible option, but based on the OP of 256 colours.

Only seen these great birds a couple of times. I like the back view of the bird as you have captured the best of those soft brownish variations .Steves version slightly cleaner on my monitor .Good thing you had the 800 at hand!
