This lady merganser swam in front of the perfect spot, I was pretty stoked when I saw that background appear in the viewfinder as she made her way. There is, however, one thing that would make this image even stronger - see if you can point it out

No one? OK, it was the head angle. Although not particularly bad, it would have been better a couple of degrees more towards the camera.

Dan a very nicely exposed and processed image, the background is beautiful but for me it is at the expense of the equally beautiful merganser, I feel a slight crop - same ratio would still convey the beautiful colours and enhance the bird.
