Hand held capure taken from a hide. The image was cropped and I carried out a little background homogenisation.

hI Jon ... super cute head on shot and the lifted paw is priceless good .
Pose is nice and the different tufts are kinda cool . Details and sharpness are nice . Tones are nice and the reds do look very realistic in the subject .... always tricky to get the reds right ( I think ) as they are so variable in color . The tail is bit light and the masking is not ideal ( see the hard edge ) , like wise the perch needs to go darker IMHO . Again personally I think the cyans / blues should be addressed ... Love the mottled green backdrop with the cooler grading as a great contrast against the red subject .
Personally I think the crop /comp does need more at the foot , matter of taste .

Regardless of my " negative thoughts " I do love the shot Jon .... easy as I do love the Reds :5

Glad you like it Andreas, there was more at the foot but I didn't like the OOF log, it seemed to draw attention from the squirrel. Clumsy of me - the bit around the tail, there were a couple of OOF flowers around there and I eliminated them - should have checked on the final jpeg.
