I went with wife and kids to Eilat, which is a holiday resort in Israel. But its also known for it's
salt ponds and being the last/first stopping spot for birds on migration heading to/from Africa.

1DX 500F4+ TC x1.4 1/400 ISO 1600 F8 cropped for composition.

All c&c welcomed.

Sweet image, Danny. Clean and pretty. There's a white spot to the right of the reflection which personally I would remove. Vertical reflection images are tricky to compose...this is unique (with more room at the bottom) and I really love it.

Hi Danny,
I like the light, low POV and great reflection.
I am noticing a very sharp " cut-out" look on the forehead area.I think this is due to your selection of the bird for the background NR. I would feather the selection or use refine edge to the selection to soften that edge.
Otherwise, a lovely image,
Gail

I like this vertical reflection composition, and I do believe having a bit more room above would strengthen it further. Exposure, details, colours all look great. Personally I would remove the bit of debris on the bird's belly above the leg (and on the reflection). Super nice overall!

Thanks for the comments.

I very rarely clone out things so I doubt I will clone out the white spot near the reflection or the brown dust on the body. Though both of you have a valid point.

As for the cut out, I dont know why you think that Gail, but its not down to the NR.

Hello Danny,

First of all, I like your avatar- it shows how much you care for this threatened species.

This is one lovely image and I like the composition and reflection in the water. What a pretty little bird! Image well exposed and the BG is great, the sharpness is there and nice detail especially in the darker areas. Image well processed and presented, TFS!

Kind regards,
