I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. This day a pair of Sandhill Cranes flew by, circled around and landed about five feet from me. Too close for anything other than a head and neck portrait. When I look at the image I wonder, why is the bird gray, why does it have red on the head, why is the eye orange. I don't know. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.
