Gulls can be quite threatening and intimidating here in the UK whilst having a 'Fish & Chips' on the coast, you are constantly harassed until such time as you throw an offering or just abandon your meal for the bullying Gulls. This shot is not the case, shot from a moving Rib whilst out shooting Sea Eagles, where the Gulls had a voracious appetite for dog biscuits which we used to toss up in the air and watch the carnage unfold...

Again no need for any NR, but here I have added a minute amount of grain.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed the previous posting.

Great expression from this gull, Steve, love the pose!
Superb detail and perfectly exposed, as sharp as it gets, nice framing, and yes it pops against that beautiful blue sky I do agree with Jon, great colours too, love it

Warmest regards,

Personally, I find the whites of the gull a little too grey.

Point noted Gerald, I have reduced the blues that where in the MT's which should help, the brighter whites are all around 230 in the RGB value. Subtle, but.... In addition it could also be a juvenile so the plumage hasn't quite developed??? No real idea, however. :S3:

Thanks again.

Hi Steve, interesting image. I echo all the positive comments. I am not familiar with this gull so I am not sure if the wings and body should be white or grey, the bird does appear to be a juvenile. Thank you for sharing.

P.S. I like the original post better.
