Just back from 5 days at the Rio Grande Birding Festival in Harlingen Texas. Morning guiding kept me pretty busy, but I was able to sneak off
for two afternoons for my own shooting when I wasn't doing photo tutorials. Snagged a couple decent frame on South Padre Island, this being
my first offering.

Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS 1DX2
1/3200 at f/7.1, ISO 1000, manual mode

This is the full horizontal frame with the top and bottom removed.

I did clone out 3-4 small imperfections on the water and a rather large specular highlight/distraction from garbage where the water meets the dunes to the
right of the bird (in the open space).

Another stunning frame of a shorebird here Dorian!

You know how to nail the low shooting angle, soft light and a great dynamic pose. This one is not an exception from that. I think the crop works well and the layered background with different colored streaks works well to add interest. I might be wrong but isn't the whites a bit too yellow? Haven't seen this species live so I might be wrong. TFS

My type of shorebird image (except for the sunshine, which we did not get much of this year). Sharp, super good low angle, clean setting. Nothing to add, except a crab (Lol at Tim's comment).
