I knew I would regret it if I left some lenses home - so when I headed out with only the 500mm f/4 and the 100 f/2.8 macro lens to travel light that morning, Murphy's Law clearly stated that a landscape opportunity would arise. And of course it did. So I tried to work with the macro lens for this and nothing in horizontal looked good, but I think I succeeded in finding a good composition in vertical...and then a Canada Goose family that I had not even noticed swam into the scene. Thank you, thank you! Between the sunrise, looming clouds, bit of rain falling, reflections, and the geese, there is lots to take in, but it I love. Hope you like it too!
Canon R6 + 100mm f/2.8 macro lens, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/320s., f/8, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, FF, deepened the blacks to taste while retaining a bit of texture in the trees, added extra "dehaze" in LR during raw conversion to bring out the cloud details, toned down the very brightest areas.
