Hi Jon, interesting behaviour, is this an adult or juvenile?

Not sure if the angle is a bit steep, shooting up, but you captured it. Did you lift the head in terms of exposure, as the sharpening I think looks just over? Also is the eye showing nictitating membrane just coming over?

Have you considered losing say half the space above, looks bit excessive, just to tighten the comp, and bring more blue back into the sky, yes artistic, but I think it helps rather than the pale, thin sky. Just a thought.

Steve I agree, it is rubbish! I have now got yet another grahics card, it is I think correctly installed and further more optimised with the "Studio" driver and settings appropriate to optimise Photoshop.....hopefully things will become better/more consistent.
The above image is all over the place regarding processing, when I reviewed the raw file with the new driver I waqs surprised how far off things were.

Jon, it all honesty I have no idea what you mean with studio driver etc. I put a new graphics card in mine with some bolt on just as a temporary measure and it’s fine. Graphics card was under £600 and it’s the ‘dogs’.

You have from memory a good monitor, but the computer seems/appears to be your Achilles heal. I could suggest a company that will either update your existing computer correctly, or you go for a refurbished model, they are excellent, to me you are using folk that are not helping you. No idea if they are purely Mac or not.

At the end of the day you don’t need something that processes your files at ‘Wharp speed’, they are only 24MB(?) and you are not creating files so big you need the Ram as you flatten the file, not keeping a Master file and it all for Social media, so you can keep things to a minimum IMHO.

Steve, I don't expect you to understand PC because you use Mac. My PC hardware is more than adequate, but there is or was a fault somewhere causing the RAM to be used, there is 32 GB on the PC and an additional 16GB on the new graphics card, so there should be absolutely no shortage there.

Hi Jon,

This definitely looks like a youngster demanding food! The odd posture is kinda fun!

My preference would be for less of the stalk at the bottom and less of the "blue" sky at the top. Buy I know we all look at cropping differently!

Thanks for sharing,

Gerald

Hi Jon ... sorry to say , this is not working for me .
Due to the technical aspects like sharpness and the akward pose is not great , IMHO.
But hey ... next time less sharpening and you might be better .

I might be not a PC expert or Mac OS expert .... but what has the sharpening got to do with the graphics card ??!!

When an Nvidia card is used it is advisable to download the Studio version driver, this driver can be downloaded fully/optimally or quickly, the former way maximises everything to do with rendition and sharpness on the screen. I have since had a new Graphics card and it has been optimally installed. Still having some issue with stalling but much better. Latest thoughts are power related - possibly the motherboard is not large enough. Latest versions of PSCC are not always stable on PC Windows, I have been advised to try a previous version to see if there is better stability. In short I don't know what the problem is but am slowly eliminating what it is not.

Okidoki Jon ... hope you can get your things set up , for a stable long term run ..... with Mr Gates :bg3: . I for myself never had issues like this with all my MACs ( started in 2006 ) and the various Apple Ceo´s :bg3:

I hear you but at present I am not prpared to fork out for another computer system - still have hedges to lay, meadows to sow, and ponds to dig...... it's not cheap!
