Nicely timed Arash, the vertical wing stroke not only shows of the cool detail but also the subject looks more dramatic, rather than having the wing down. Like the slightly ‘jaunty/cocked’ HA, and yes, it does ‘pop’ against the dark green backdrop!

You are fortunate to have the light and shoot at low ISO.

Very nice Arash.I agree about the contrast with the varying dark green sets this bird off beautifully. No red eye though! which you have in so many of those former great shots .My observation with our Black shouldered Kites is that the eye fires up at breeding time .Unverified though. Would this be a young bird?

Hi Ian, you are right the juvi's here have more orange like eyes which becomes ruby red as they mature
