Pied Kingfisher in a shallow dive
The eyes aren't prominently visible, There’s no eye contact with the viewer - the bird is looking down at the fish.
So how do you feel about this image when you first see it ?

Hi Krish,
When I first see it, it is a "yeah!" - because of the instant captured. I like the way the black & white of the Kingfisher works against the colourful background. The colours themselves look great - maybe worth cleaning up some of the spots etc.
On the other hand, I find that the square crop is too tight for my liking.
Cool image! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Gerald. The "tight crop" and spots are fixable. Maybe try a long (top to bottom) crop instead.
Appreciate the feedback.

I agree on the crop. I like the moment but think if it was just a fraction of a second later as the bill touched the water then it would have gone from excellent to spectacular.

Krish i think it is pretty good but your self assessment sums up the image, I agree a 3:2 crop would have been better for presentation and strangely enough I feel the viewer would be less drawn to the just visible eyes, the image would have been more about timing I feel.
