Hi All:
We are pleased to announce the winners of July's Water Theme. Special thanks to Gabriela Plesea who judged this month's theme. Bragging rights this month go to:
1st Place - Katie Rupp, "Hippo in the Morning" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/129719-Theme-Hippo-in-the-Morning
2nd Place - Sanjeev Aurangabadkar, "Elephant at Chobe River" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/129931-Elephant-at-Chobe-River
3rd Place - Mike Poole, "Sleeping Green Turtle" - http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/129645-Sleeping-Green-turtle
Congrats to Katie, Sanjeev and Mike!
We're also happy to announce that the September Theme will be IUCN Red List Species to coincide with World Rhino Day on September 22. To qualify the subject must be listed as "Near Threatened," "Vulnerable," "Endangered," or "Critically Endangered" on the IUCN Red List. The Red List can be found here: http://www.iucnredlist.org/ Forum rules still apply. As always, please use the "Theme" prefix from the dropdown menu. Theme images will be critiqued just like other images and are eligible for IOTW honors.
In the meantime, keep posting your Portraits/Head Shots for August.
Rachel, Steve and Morkel
