Hi Jon ... nice behavior shot and I do specially like the " pulling" pose -
Not too fuzzed about the overall darkness ... way too dark for my taste .
Comp does look good and I do kind of like the rusty wire
This time you went the other way round on the color front ... cheeks are kind of yellow , matter of taste . Why not trying to get them neutral ???

TFS Andreas

Andreas, I found it problematical when making the bird brighter not to make the wool stands blow out, the cheeks?? I don't see an issue there??

Ok Jon ...
here is a vision of what I think does look better .
Specially the yellow cast .... is gone , and you have now what cheeks instead of yellow .
Lifted the darker parts .... without blowing the wool .
Cheers Andreas

Ups ... have forgotten to turn of the clipping indicaTOR BEFORE SAVING THE FILE

Hey Jon .. I am wondering why you are not seeing or controlling the potential casts in your images ..... it is so easy !!!! Takes ten seconds to hover with the eyedropper over key areas .

Sorry for the delay in replying my PC has been back to the repair shop.
Andreas maybe I should hover a little!
Kevin thanks - glad you liked it.

Dear Jon,

I like the behavioural aspect you captured in this frame. Well composed, good pose from the bird and I agree with Ian, the rusty barbed wire adds to the image:w3

Warmest regards,
